In addition, he has served as the youth pastor for St. Paul United Methodist, Tupelo and St. Paul United Methodist, Moss Point.
Rev. Henry’s focus for ministry is to strengthen the laity to carry out the mission of the church as they become more Christ-centered. And demonstrate a love for God, for the community, and for all people.
He shepherds the leadership which has developed a five-year plan to meet that goal: discovering, developing, and deploying disciples into the world.
A graduate of the Candler School of Theology (Emory University, Atlanta, Ga), he received a Master of Divinity degree in 2007. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rust College in 2004.
His role in the Mississippi Annual Conference leadership includes serving on the Board of Ordained Ministry, the West Jackson Leadership Team, and the Council on Finance and Administration. In addition, he is passionate about Kairos Prison Ministry and the Good Shepherd Food Shelter.
He is married to Mrs. Eleanor Henry and is the father of two children.
A guiding point of view as he navigates life is this: “In order to become great, one must overcome great things.”
